HARIPUR: The five-day training of field staff of baseline survey on the impacts of CPEC in Hazara division began here on Monday.

Centre of Excellence for CPEC and ministry of development, planning and reforms have jointly organised the training for the participants hired for carrying out survey on the recommendation of the district government.

Prof Amir Khan, police head of Centre of Excellence, briefed the participants about the salient features of 41 projects launched under CPEC across the country. He said the government had selected six projects for the baseline in Hazara, which was about socioeconomic impacts of E-35 known as Hazara Motorway Project, on the local communities.

He said the ministry had selected 14 communities from Hazara, including doctors, students, NGOs, business community etc, as sample for the baseline and the researchers and enumerators would use specific questionnaire developed within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals for gathering evidences of the impacts of E-35.
